This page explains what information SFRCalc collects, how it's used, and how advertising works on this site.

The calculators themselves

The numbers you type into a calculator — purchase price, rent, expenses, and so on — are processed entirely in your own browser. They are not sent to SFRCalc or stored on our servers. If you close the tab, that data is gone.

Advertising and cookies

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This is standard third-party ad targeting — SFRCalc doesn't control which ads appear or how Google's targeting works.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links to lenders, insurers, or other tools. Clicking one may let that company know you came from SFRCalc, subject to their own privacy practices. See our advertising & affiliate disclosure for more.

Analytics

We may use basic, aggregated analytics (such as page-view counts) to understand which calculators and articles are useful and where the site has problems. This data is not tied to your name or used to build a profile of you individually.

Information you give us directly

If you email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you wrote — used only to respond to you, not shared or sold. If SFRCalc later adds optional accounts (for example, to save a calculation), that section of this policy will be updated before that feature goes live, and it will describe exactly what's stored and why.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

You can use most browsers to block or clear cookies at any time. Doing so may make ads less relevant but won't affect how the calculators work, since they don't depend on cookies. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over data collected about you (for example, under GDPR or CCPA) — contact us if you'd like to exercise any of those.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
